ALX Africa is a non-profit providing tech training in software engineering, data science, AI, cloud and cybersecurity to young Africans, plus scholarships and startup incubation.

ALX Africa is a charitable non-profit, registered in Mauritius, that provides tech education and digital skills training to young Africans. Founded in 2018, it runs programmes in data science, cloud computing, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, creative technology and software engineering, built on the Holberton technical curriculum and delivered through a practical, project-based model. More than 285,000 learners have been served since 2021, with physical hubs in eight cities across the continent.

Its flagship tech training programmes are complemented by Professional Foundations, which pairs technical instruction with soft skills intended to prepare graduates for sustained careers rather than short-term placements. ALX Pathway offers access to international university scholarships worth up to $85,000, while ALX Ventures, an incubator for young entrepreneurs, has supported more than 12,000 founders building businesses for Africa's digital economy.

The organisation describes itself as a pan-African movement with a commitment to diversity and access, aiming to bridge the gap between African talent and world-class tech education. It has set a target of empowering 2 million Africans to secure sustainable tech careers by 2030, with an emphasis on developing ethical, entrepreneurial leaders alongside technical practitioners.
