BuyPower is a digital consumer payments platform in Nigeria that allows customers to purchase electricity tokens for prepaid and postpaid meters from home. Founded in 2015, the company reports serving hundreds of thousands of customers and has stated a mission of enabling energy access across Africa.

The platform is integrated with nine Nigerian electricity distribution companies: AEDC, JED, EKEDC, IBEDC, IKEDC, EEDC, KAEDCO, KEDCO and PHED. Beyond electricity, BuyPower has expanded into data and mobile airtime purchases. Payments are accepted through debit cards, USSD codes, bank transfers and a proprietary wallet system.
