The company was founded in Barcelona in 1849 and has operated for more than 175 years. It works in over 40 countries with thousands of farmers and local businesses along its supply chains.

Its technical scope spans agronomy and farm-level agricultural support, climate-smart farming practices, primary processing, commodity logistics and supply chain management, and risk management services. The company employs more than 1,000 agronomists and field staff, a workforce oriented towards direct engagement with farmers and local businesses in producing regions.
