Etihad Airways

Etihad Airways is the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, established by Royal (Amiri) Decree in July 2003 and headquartered and hubbed in Abu Dhabi. It began commercial operations in November 2003 and operates as one of the UAE's two flag carriers, providing both passenger and cargo aviation services. The airline is described as one of the fastest-growing carriers in the world.

The passenger business serves over 120 destinations across Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and North America, offering cabin classes from Economy to premium cabins. Among its premium products is The Residence, billed as the industry's first three-room suite on a commercial aircraft.

Beyond passenger travel, the group spans several aviation functions: Etihad Cargo handles air freight and logistics; Etihad Engineering provides aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services; and Etihad Guest runs the airline's loyalty and frequent-flyer programme. Technical work across the organisation covers aviation operations, aircraft engineering and maintenance, cargo logistics and loyalty programme management.
