Management Accountant - Golden Sugar Company, Sunti (FMN Holdings)

Purpose

To provide accurate management accounting, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, cost monitoring and operational reporting to support effective business decisions. The role supports the monthly financial close, cost control, management reporting, internal controls and business partnering across the agricultural, factory and support operations at Golden Sugar Company (GSC) Sunti.

The Job

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts in line with reporting timelines.
• Support the monthly financial close, including accruals, provisions, prepayments, inventory adjustments and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Analyse financial performance, variances, trends and cost drivers to support management decision-making.
• Prepare and analyse annual budgets, rolling forecasts and Latest Estimates in collaboration with department heads.
• Prepare monthly Budget vs Actual and Latest Estimate analysis, with clear explanations of significant variances.
• Analyse agricultural (cane) production costs and factory/sugar processing costs, including key cost drivers and trends.
• Monitor workshop and maintenance overheads and provide cost analysis by department or work centre.

The Person Must

• Have strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance or an equivalent ERP system (essential).
• Have strong Excel skills and financial modelling capability (essential).
• Have a sound understanding of budgeting, cost control, management accounting and financial analysis.
• Have a good understanding of agricultural, manufacturing and operational cost accounting.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field.
• Membership of ICAN, ACCA, ACA or CIMA.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' cognate experience, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
• Experience in agricultural accounting or cost accounting is an advantage.
