Lakeshore Cancer Center

Nigeria's first facility dedicated solely to cancer prevention and treatment, offering screening, diagnostics, care and corporate programmes from Lagos and Port Harcourt.

Lakeshore Cancer Center is Nigeria's first operational healthcare facility dedicated exclusively to cancer prevention and treatment. It provides screening, diagnostics, clinical treatment and consultation to individual patients, as well as structured group screening programmes for corporate clients. Work is organised around multidisciplinary practice: the Lakeshore Tumor Board reviews cases collectively, and care is delivered by certified cancer specialists and supporting professionals.

The organisation operates from two locations, with headquarters in Lagos and a further site in Port Harcourt. Its clinical and professional domains span oncology, cancer screening, diagnostics, treatment, financial navigation in healthcare, cancer research and community health education. A commitment to global standards of care is reflected in international institutional affiliations, among them Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

Beyond direct clinical services, Lakeshore Cancer Center runs several programmes. The Foundation for Cancer Care, established in 2008, works to enhance cancer care across West Africa. Cost-FIN Research focuses on financial navigation for cancer patients, and Dewdrops Support provides assistance to cancer survivors. The stated mission is to reduce the cancer burden in West Africa through the combined emphasis on clinical care, research and community education.
