About Legionhill
Legionhill Facilitators is a wealth solutions firm that works with individuals and families across Africa to protect their financial interests, preserve wealth, and plan for future generations. Through relationships with leading international insurance carriers and strategic partners, we help our clients with life insurance and wealth-protection solutions designed to address complex financial and legacy-planning needs.
Our work is guided by expertise, discretion, and an unwavering commitment to exceptional client service.
As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced, highly organized New Business Case Manager to strengthen our operations, drive efficiency, and ensure excellence throughout the insurance application and policy issuance process.
The Role
The New Business Case Manager will oversee end-to-end management of international life insurance applications, ensuring cases progress from initial documentation and client due diligence through underwriting to policy issuance and delivery. The successful candidate will serve as the central point of coordination between relationship managers, clients, insurance carriers and other external partners, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance and timely execution.
This position requires strong technical expertise, exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment and the ability to lead a team while independently managing complex, high-value cases.
As the New Business Case Manager, you will be the documentation quality gate between our clients and carrier partners. Your job is to ensure every application, illustration, IDA, and submission is complete, accurate, and moving forward.
What you will do
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of international life insurance applications, from case initiation and documentation through underwriting, approval, policy issuance and delivery.
- Review client documentation (passports, identity and address verification, source of funds and wealth, financial and medical records) for accuracy and consistency before submission.
- Review new insurance applications, illustrations, IDAs, financial disclosures and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency and compliance with carrier requirements.
- Manage day-to-day engagement with brokers, carriers, medical facilities and third-party verifiers. Escalate and resolve within agreed response times.
- Oversee client due diligence, including KYC, AML, source-of-funds and source-of-wealth verification, ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards.
- Coordinate medical and financial underwriting processes, review underwriting decisions, including ratings, exclusions and additional requirements, and communicate implications and recommended next steps to relationship managers.
- Serve as the primary point of coordination between relationship managers, international insurance carriers, brokers, medical facilities and other service providers, ensuring effective communication, timely follow-ups and resolution of outstanding matters.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews before case submissions, identify documentation discrepancies and operational risks, and implement corrective measures to minimize errors and prevent recurrence.
- Maintain comprehensive case management trackers, pipeline reports, and operational performance records, and provide management with regular updates on case progress, outstanding requirements, risks, and team performance.
- Monitor case processing timelines, identify and escalate operational bottlenecks, and develop, implement, and continuously improve standard operating procedures to enhance efficiency, service quality, and turnaround time.
What you bring
- At least 8 years in insurance, wealth management or private banking, with direct experience handling cases for ultra-high-net-worth clients.
- Hands-on life insurance underwriting experience, including medical and financial underwriting for international or cross-border clients.
- Experience with investments or wealth planning for UHNW individuals, so you can follow the client's wider financial picture.
- Strong due diligence and documentation review skills, with a record of catching errors others miss.
- Experience working with brokers, carriers and implementation partners across time zones.
- Comfort with technology: case-tracking tools, shared drives, e-signature and digital workflows. You learn new systems quickly.
- Proven self-leadership. You take ownership, set your own priorities and follow through without being chased.
- Proven team leadership. You can set standards, coach others and give direct feedback.
- Clear, professional written and spoken English, and sound judgment with confidential client information.
Nice to have
Professional designations (ALMI, ACS, CLU, CFP, or similar), experience with clients in Africa, and licensing or compliance experience in international life insurance.
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation and benefits.
- Exposure to international life insurance and sophisticated wealth protection solutions.

- A collaborative, performance-driven working environment.
