McKinsey & Company is the trusted advisor to many of the world's most influential businesses and institutions.

Specialist – Petroleum Asset eXcellence (Lagos)

You will support client teams with energy-specific expertise, directly contributing to increasing the value of energy assets and turning around operational performance.

You will be part of McKinsey's advisory, which has specialised expertise in reservoir and well management, drilling, production optimisation, onshore and offshore operations, and energy transition and decarbonisation. You will join the Petroleum Asset eXcellence (PAX) unit, which works with the existing asset team to address business and performance challenges, realise the intrinsic value of assets, and sustain change.

In addition to advising, you will take part in, or at times lead, internal knowledge-building initiatives, conferences and client workshops. You will work as a team member on specific client energy operations and transformation programmes, with direct contact with senior client leaders. You will develop recommendations from your findings and support clients in implementation and change.

The work spans clients' full range of activities, from upstream reserves and assets to building new businesses such as carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) and hydrogen in the energy transition.

You will be based in our Lagos office, within the PAX unit of the Oil & Gas practice. The firm offers structured learning, apprenticeship, coaching and mentorship, a global community of colleagues across 65+ countries, and a competitive salary with a comprehensive benefits package.
