Multigate is a licensed treasury management and cross-border infrastructure provider founded in 2017. The company automates treasury operations and simplifies cross-border trade payments for businesses, with a stated focus on enabling global trade. Its two main products are Automated Treasury Management, which provides real-time visibility, control and automation over financial operations with an emphasis on liquidity optimisation, currency conversion and reconciliation; and Cross-Border Financial Infrastructure, a bank-agnostic treasury network supporting unified multi-currency payments and connecting with African and global banks through SWIFT L2BA and direct API integrations. The underlying technical work spans treasury management automation, multi-currency payments, bank API integrations, liquidity optimisation and financial compliance automation.

Multigate was the first pan-African financial services technology company certified by SWIFT as a Lite 2 Business Application Provider. The company has also attained ISO 20000 (IT service management), ISO 22301 (business continuity) and ISO 27001 (information security) certifications. Its stated vision is to become Africa's trusted trade infrastructure.
