Unique Care and Support Foundation

A Nigerian national NGO founded in 2019 delivering health, protection, education, WASH and livelihoods programmes for women, children and displaced communities in Northeast and Northwest Nigeria.

Unique Care and Support Foundation (CASFOD) is a Nigerian national non-governmental organisation founded in 2019. It works on children's and women's rights, providing care and support to people affected by crises while helping vulnerable communities build sustainable futures. Its programmes address humanitarian response and long-term resilience, with a particular focus on women, children and persons living with disabilities.

The foundation operates across five thematic areas. Health and nutrition programming targets women and children in emergency-affected communities; protection work addresses violence and exploitation, including for persons living with disabilities; education programmes focus on the girl child; water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services reach vulnerable and displaced communities; and livelihoods programming aims to help families achieve economic independence and build long-term resilience.

Field operations are concentrated in Northeast and Northwest Nigeria, regions shaped by over a decade of conflict in the northeast. Staff work in challenging field environments where results are directly observable. The foundation collaborates with international partners including UNICEF, Malala Fund and ActionAid.
